DJ at Scone Palace, Perth — Corporate Events & Private Parties | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

Scone Palace is one of those venues that puts things in perspective fairly quickly. You’re arriving at a place that crowned Scottish kings for over a thousand years — Macbeth, Robert the Bruce, and many more among them. The Stone of Destiny sat here for centuries. And now you’re setting up a DJ rig in one of the State Rooms. It’s a bit of a privilege, frankly.

We’ve had the privilege of working as DJ at Scone Palace, and it’s an experience that stays with you. The combination of extraordinary history, world-class architecture, and a genuinely beautiful setting on the banks of the Tay makes it unlike anywhere else.

DJ at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh — Corporate Events & Private Parties | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

Prestonfield House is one of Edinburgh’s most beloved venues — a 17th-century baroque mansion in the shadow of Arthur’s Seat, five minutes from the Royal Mile, with resident peacocks roaming the grounds and Highland cattle in the parkland. It sounds like something you’d make up, but it’s completely real, and it makes for a genuinely unforgettable wedding or event backdrop. The Stables Ballroom is the main event space and it’s one of the best DJ rooms in Edinburgh.

As DJ at Prestonfield House, we’ve performed here on a number of occasions and it’s a venue we have a lot of time for. The team are excellent, the room is brilliant, and the whole place has a theatrical quality — from the Witchery-style interiors to the peacock that occasionally appears at the window mid-set. More at the Prestonfield House website →

Setting Up at Prestonfield House

Setup for a DJ at Prestonfield House is straightforward — the Stables Ballroom has good supplier access, and the Prestonfield team organise things well and make you feel welcome. In addition, the venue has already installed sound and lighting infrastructure, which makes setup more straightforward than in many historic venues. Load-in is easy and the team will brief you clearly. So come early enough to do a proper sound check — the circular space rewards getting the levels right.

The Space — What You Need to Know

The Stables Ballroom is a circular space with a capacity of up to 500 guests — one of the larger ballrooms in Edinburgh. The circular layout means no guest is far from the dancefloor, which helps enormously with energy and atmosphere. As DJ at Prestonfield House, we’ve found the sound infrastructure here is good, and the acoustics of the space are excellent for a room of this age. In addition, uplighting here is particularly effective given the architecture.

Events We Cover

We cover corporate dinners and private parties at Prestonfield House. The venue’s reputation and the quality of the in-house catering attract clients who want a seamless, high-end experience — which suits our approach. See our corporate events page and private parties page.

Prestonfield House is also a very popular wedding venue — see Premier Disco Weddings’ dedicated Prestonfield House page for wedding-specific packages and pricing.

DJ at The Caves, Edinburgh — Weddings and Private Events | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

As DJ at The Caves, there’s nowhere quite like this venue in Edinburgh. Underneath the South Bridge, a network of stone vaults dating back to the 18th century now forms one of the most atmospheric event spaces in the city — high ceilings, candlelit alcoves, rough stone walls, and a sense of history that you can’t manufacture. It’s a venue that creates an atmosphere before anyone switches on a single light or plays a note.

We’ve provided DJ entertainment at The Caves for weddings and private events, and it’s consistently one of the most enjoyable venues to work in. In fact, the intimacy of the space and the naturally warm acoustic make it a DJ’s dream in many ways. More at the Caves Edinburgh website →

Setting Up at The Caves Edinburgh

Setup for a DJ at The Caves requires some advance planning — load-in access is through the South Bridge entrance, and the layout of the vaults means you need to know where you’re going. So the venue team will brief you thoroughly. In addition, cable runs need thought given the stone walls and the multiple connected spaces. Give yourself time and don’t try to rush it — the setup is part of what makes the night work.

The stone vaults at The Caves Edinburgh, set up for a formal event — the venue we cover as DJ at The Caves

The Space — What a DJ at The Caves Needs to Know

The high stone ceilings create a naturally warm, controlled acoustic — sound stays in the room and builds quickly, which means you can achieve a great atmosphere at moderate volumes. This is actually a significant advantage over some of Edinburgh’s grander venues where sound escapes into vaulted spaces. As DJ at The Caves, we’ve found the multiple connected vault spaces create a natural flow for guests between the bar, the dancefloor, and quieter areas. In addition, the intimate scale means the dancefloor fills quickly and stays full.

Events We Cover at The Caves Edinburgh

The Caves hosts weddings, private parties, corporate events, and everything in between. It’s a particularly popular choice for couples who want something distinctly Edinburgh and atmospheric rather than a conventional ballroom. As DJ at The Caves, we find corporate events here have a completely different feel to a hotel event space — more immersive, more memorable. In addition, we cover quiz nights and themed events here. See our Edinburgh wedding DJ page.

Practical Information for The Caves Edinburgh Events

The Caves is on the South Bridge in Edinburgh city centre, so public transport access is excellent. Parking is the main consideration given the location; speak to the venue team for the best options for suppliers. In addition, the in-house team are experienced, and they manage the practical logistics well.

DJ at the Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh — Weddings and Corporate Events | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

The Assembly Rooms on George Street is one of Edinburgh’s grandest and most historic event venues — a neoclassical building dating from 1787 that has been at the heart of Edinburgh social life for over two centuries. The Music Hall is the centrepiece: a magnificent ballroom with ornate plasterwork, chandeliers, and the kind of proportions that make a large event feel genuinely celebratory. So it’s been host to everything from Edinburgh Festival events to some of the city’s most spectacular weddings.

As DJ at the Assembly Rooms, we’ve provided entertainment here for weddings and corporate events. It’s a venue that rewards experience — the scale and the acoustics of the Music Hall require a specific approach that we’ve refined over multiple events here. More at the Assembly Rooms Edinburgh website →

Setting Up at Assembly Rooms Edinburgh

The Assembly Rooms has dedicated supplier access and an experienced events team. So setup for a DJ at the Assembly Rooms requires attention to speaker placement given the scale of the Music Hall — getting coverage across a large room evenly is the main technical challenge. In addition, the venue has its own AV infrastructure, which can be used alongside or instead of external setups depending on the event. Because of the scale involved, allow good time for setup and sound check.

The front entrance of the Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh — the venue we cover as DJ at the Assembly Rooms

The Space — What You Need to Know

The Music Hall is a large, high-ceilinged ballroom — one of the biggest event spaces in central Edinburgh. Because of the scale, you need a properly sized system to fill the room, and speaker positioning matters significantly. As DJ at the Assembly Rooms, we’ve worked out the best configurations for this space over several events. In addition, the room is visually spectacular and responds well to lighting effects — uplighting the columns and walls here creates a genuinely dramatic atmosphere.

Events We Cover

The Assembly Rooms hosts weddings, corporate events, awards ceremonies, private parties, and Festival events. It’s a natural choice for large-scale corporate dinners and awards nights, because of the central George Street location and the prestige of the venue. In addition, weddings here tend towards the grand end of the scale — it’s not a venue for a quiet dinner for 40. In fact, we’ve loved every large-scale event we’ve done here. See our Edinburgh wedding DJ page and corporate events page.

Practical Information for Your Event

The Assembly Rooms is right on George Street in Edinburgh city centre, so public transport is excellent. However, parking for suppliers needs planning given the central location — speak to the events team in advance if you’re booking a DJ at the Assembly Rooms. In addition, the venue team are professional and well-drilled.

Where is the Assembly Rooms and how do I get there?

The Assembly Rooms is on George Street in Edinburgh city centre, so public transport links are excellent. If you’re bringing a DJ or other suppliers, parking needs a bit of planning given the central location — it’s worth speaking to the venue’s events team in advance.

What kind of events does the Assembly Rooms host?

The venue hosts weddings, corporate events, awards ceremonies, private parties, and Edinburgh Festival events. It particularly suits large-scale occasions — the Music Hall’s scale and grandeur make it a natural fit for big corporate dinners, awards nights, and grand weddings.

What does a DJ need to know about the Music Hall?

The Music Hall is one of the biggest event spaces in central Edinburgh, with a large, high ceiling. As DJ at the Assembly Rooms, we bring a properly sized sound system to fill the room and position speakers carefully — coverage across a space this size is the main technical consideration.

Do I need to arrange parking for my DJ or suppliers?

Yes — because the venue sits right on George Street, supplier parking and loading needs planning ahead. We coordinate directly with the Assembly Rooms events team to make sure setup goes smoothly.

If you’re planning a wedding, corporate event, or awards night at the Assembly Rooms and looking for a DJ at the Assembly Rooms who already knows the venue, we’d love to hear from you.

DJ at the Signet Library, Edinburgh — Corporate Events & Private Parties | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

The Signet Library on Parliament Square is a venue that stops every first-time visitor in their tracks. It’s a neoclassical masterpiece just steps from St Giles’ Cathedral. The Upper Library’s soaring colonnaded hall and ornate painted ceiling represent one of the most breathtaking interior spaces in Scotland. So turning up here as a DJ for the first time is a slightly humbling experience — the room is genuinely extraordinary, and it sets a very high bar for everything else on the night.

As DJ at the Signet Library, we’ve provided entertainment for corporate dinners and private events here. The acoustic challenges are real, but they’re manageable once you understand the space. In fact, the results when it comes together are unlike anything else in Edinburgh. More at the Signet Library website →

We’ve also covered weddings at the Signet Library — see Premier Disco Weddings’ dedicated Signet Library page for wedding-specific packages and pricing.

Setting Up at the Signet Library

So setup for a DJ at the Signet Library requires advance coordination with the venue team. Because the space carries real historic importance, load-in through Parliament Square and positioning within the Upper Library are both carefully managed.

The Space — What a DJ at the Signet Library Needs to Know

The Upper Library is one of the acoustically amazing rooms we work in regularly. The ceiling height and hard marble surfaces could easily make for a harsh, echoey sound. However, the vast number of books lining the walls helps absorb the excess, so it’s one of the best sounding rooms we work in.

Events We Cover at the Signet Library

The Signet Library hosts corporate dinners, awards nights, and private events. It’s a natural choice for high-prestige corporate events, because of the Parliament Square address and the visual impact of the Upper Library. See our corporate events page and private parties page.

Practical Information for the Signet Library Events

The Signet Library is on Parliament Square, right in Edinburgh’s Old Town, so it’s steps from the Royal Mile and a short walk from Waverley. However, parking for suppliers needs advance planning given the location. In addition, the venue team are professional and will brief you thoroughly.

Megan & William Ladbrooke — Wedding Reception at Colstoun House, East Lothian

1 24th May 2026 by James Veal

Barn wedding reception venue dressed with white linen round tables, gold chiavari chairs and fairy lights
Colstoun House barn dressed and ready before guests arrived — stone walls, fairy lights and chiavari chairs

This wedding DJ Colstoun House booking took us to Colstoun House near Haddington in East Lothian last night, for the reception of Megan and William Ladbrooke — and what a venue it is. It’s a beautifully converted stone barn with a vaulted wooden ceiling and fairy lights strung overhead. The atmosphere transforms the moment the lights go down and the music starts.

Wedding DJ Colstoun House: The Setup

Premier Disco wedding DJ at Colstoun House, East Lothian — packed dance floor with guests in kilts under colourful lighting
The dance floor at Colstoun House — kilts, energy and the room absolutely packed all night

The barn at Colstoun has a generous footprint. That meant we could run the full rig — twin QSC K12.2 mains with dual QSC KS118 subwoofers, LED tube lights and the diamond-frame booth. The stone walls give the sound a wonderful warmth, and the room filled evenly throughout. Setting up before guests arrived was smooth thanks to the excellent venue team.

The Night

Wedding reception speeches — guests seated at round tables in a stone barn with string lights and a whisky barrel cake stand
Speeches in full flow — the room full of guests with the wedding cake on a classic whisky barrel

Megan and William had everything timed beautifully. Dinner ran smoothly, speeches were heartfelt, and we moved seamlessly into the evening dancing right on schedule. During dinner we kept things warm and conversational, with acoustic covers, jazz and soul at a level that complemented the room without dominating it. Then when it was time to dance, the floor filled fast and stayed full.

Green lighting on the stone barn — kilts, joy and exactly what a Scottish wedding should feel like

A brilliant Scottish wedding crowd — guests of all ages up and dancing, the bride absolutely loving every second of it. We moved through floor-fillers, a few ceilidh classics that got everyone linking arms, and finished the night on a high. Huge congratulations to Megan and William Ladbrooke — what a night.

If you’re planning a wedding DJ Colstoun House booking, or a wedding anywhere else in East Lothian and Scotland, we’ve got more detail for you. Read our full write-up on Premier Disco Weddings for the venue, the setup and the evening. You can also get in touch to check availability for your date.
