DJ at Hopetoun House, South Queensferry — Corporate Events & Private Parties | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

As DJ at Hopetoun House, we get to work in one of Scotland’s most spectacular settings. It’s the kind of venue that stops you in your tracks the first time you see it. Many call it Scotland’s finest stately home. The estate itself spans 6,500 acres on the banks of the Firth of Forth. It’s been the backdrop for some of the most extraordinary weddings and events we’ve been part of. If you’ve seen the Outlander TV series, you may recognise parts of the grounds. In fact, the grounds have doubled as a filming location, giving them a cinematic quality that photographs absolutely love.

We’ve performed at Hopetoun House on a number of occasions and it’s a venue we know well — the Adam Ballroom, the Tapestry Room, the Adam Stables, and the sweeping parkland that stretches out to the Firth.

More about the venue at the Hopetoun House website →

Setting Up at Hopetoun House

Setup at Hopetoun requires some planning. Because of the building’s historic nature, you’ll work closely with the venue team on load-in routes and positioning. The Adam Ballroom is the main event space for larger weddings, and the room is grand in every sense. So, give yourself plenty of time and communicate with the Hopetoun events team in advance. They’re experienced and helpful, and they’ll tell you exactly what you need to know.

The Space — What You Need to Know

The Adam Ballroom is one of the most impressive DJ venues in Scotland. It has high ceilings, ornate plasterwork, and a scale that suits large wedding parties beautifully. However, the acoustics require care — the room is live and can become reverberant at high volumes, so system placement is important. We’ve learned how to set up in this room to get the best possible sound without losing control of the acoustics. For smaller events, the Adam Stables offer a more intimate alternative.

Events We Cover

We cover corporate and private events at Hopetoun House. The scale of the estate suits everything from intimate private parties to large-scale corporate celebrations, and in our experience, the Hopetoun team are consistently professional to work with. See our corporate events page and private parties page.

Hopetoun House is also predominantly a wedding venue — see Premier Disco Weddings’ dedicated Hopetoun House page for wedding-specific packages and pricing.

Practical Information for Your Event

Hopetoun is about 30 minutes from Edinburgh city centre. The events team manage supplier access well. They’ll give you clear instructions on where to load in and where to park. Because of the building’s historic nature, they also manage sound levels carefully. So, expect a longer setup time than at a more conventional venue.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Hopetoun House from Edinburgh?

Hopetoun House is about 30 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, making it an easy trip for most guests.

Are there sound restrictions for a DJ at Hopetoun House?

Yes — sound levels are managed carefully given the historic nature of the building. We know how to work within these restrictions while still filling the dancefloor.

How long does setup take at Hopetoun House?

Longer than at a more conventional venue. The historic building means working closely with the events team on load-in routes and positioning, so we build in extra time.

What events can I book a DJ for at Hopetoun House?

We cover corporate and private events at Hopetoun House, alongside its predominant wedding trade. The scale of the estate suits everything from intimate private parties to large-scale corporate celebrations.

Is the Adam Ballroom suitable for a DJ setup?

Yes — it’s one of the most impressive DJ venues in Scotland, with high ceilings and a scale that suits large wedding parties. The acoustics need care since the room can become reverberant at high volume, which is exactly the kind of setup we’re experienced with. The Adam Stables offer a more intimate alternative for smaller events.

Thinking of Booking Hopetoun House?

If you’re planning a corporate event or private party at Hopetoun House and looking for a DJ at Hopetoun House who already knows the venue, we’d love to talk. We know the venue, we know what works in the space, and we’ll come prepared.

DJ and Entertainment at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

As DJ at Dynamic Earth, we get to work in one of Edinburgh’s most striking event spaces — and one of the most enjoyable venues to be part of. The dome structure sits on the edge of Holyrood Park, with Arthur’s Seat as a backdrop and the Scottish Parliament next door, so it’s a genuinely dramatic location before a single guest arrives. Inside, the circular, modern Stratosphere event space delivers exactly the kind of wow factor these events need.

We’ve provided DJ entertainment at Dynamic Earth for both corporate events and private celebrations, and it’s a venue that consistently delivers in terms of atmosphere.

More about the venue at the Dynamic Earth venue hire page →

Setting Up at Dynamic Earth

Dynamic Earth has dedicated event infrastructure and an experienced in-house team who make the setup process straightforward. The Stratosphere has its own AV capabilities that can integrate with external DJ setups, so it’s always worth having a conversation with the events team in advance about what’s already in place and what you’re bringing. The team manage load-in well and will direct you clearly.

The Stratosphere at Dynamic Earth, set up for a formal event — the venue we cover as DJ at Dynamic Earth

The Space — What You Need to Know

The Stratosphere is a circular space, so the dancefloor naturally occupies the centre and everyone feels connected to it — one of the reasons the venue works so well for parties and weddings. As DJ at Dynamic Earth, we’ve found the modern, controlled acoustics make the job easier than in some of Edinburgh’s older venues. Sound doesn’t get away from you here, and the layout feels inclusive in a way that long narrow rooms never quite manage.

Events We Cover

We’ve covered corporate dinners, awards nights, weddings, and private parties at Dynamic Earth. The venue is particularly popular for corporate events given its central Edinburgh location, capacity, and the prestige factor of the building itself. In addition, it works brilliantly for weddings where couples want something distinctly contemporary and dramatic. See our corporate events page and Edinburgh weddings page.

Practical Information for Your Event

Dynamic Earth is right in the heart of Edinburgh at Holyrood, so public transport is excellent — it’s on numerous bus routes and a short walk from Waverley. Supplier parking is available nearby, and the events team can point you to it. In addition, the venue has good disabled access, and the events team are thorough and professional.

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

As DJ at Crieff Hydro, we get to work at one of Scotland’s most distinctive venues — a sprawling Victorian resort hotel spanning 900 acres of Perthshire hillside that manages to be simultaneously grand and completely unpretentious. It’s been operating since 1868, so today it’s Scotland’s biggest family resort, with everything from a spa and activity centre to conference facilities and a ballroom. It’s also a genuinely brilliant wedding and events venue.

We’ve provided DJ entertainment at Crieff Hydro for weddings and private events, and it’s a venue we enjoy working at. The team are welcoming, the facilities are excellent, and there’s an energy about the place that’s hard to replicate. More at the Crieff Hydro weddings page →

For larger events, the venue also offers additional spaces you can use for entertainment or background music.

DJ at The Dome, Edinburgh — Weddings and Corporate Events | Premier Disco

1 26th May 2026 by James Veal

As DJ at The Dome, we get to work in one of Edinburgh’s most iconic event venues. It’s a Grade A listed former bank building with a stunning domed ceiling, marble columns, and a grandeur that makes an immediate impression on anyone who walks through the door. So it’s no surprise we’ve provided DJ entertainment at The Dome for both weddings and corporate events, and it’s a venue that never fails to deliver on atmosphere.

The combination of that extraordinary interior and the George Street location makes The Dome one of the most sought-after venues in the city. You can find out more at the Dome Edinburgh website →

Setting Up at The Dome

Setup for a DJ at The Dome requires coordination with the venue team, since the historic interior means the events team carefully manage load-in procedures. The main event space sits under that famous dome. Positioning the DJ setup to work with the room architecture is something we’ve refined over multiple events here. So arrive early, plan your cable runs, and communicate in advance — the Dome’s events team are experienced and will set you up for success.

The dancefloor at The Dome from the DJ's perspective — the venue we cover as DJ at The Dome

The Space — What a DJ at The Dome Needs to Know

The domed ceiling is visually extraordinary but creates acoustic challenges. Sound rises and reflects in ways that can become muddy without careful management. Speaker positioning and system choice matter here more than at most venues. We’ve worked out what works and what doesn’t in this space over several events, and getting it right produces brilliant results. In addition, the room has a natural drama to it that even moderate lighting effects amplify significantly.

Events We Cover at The Dome

As DJ at The Dome, we cover weddings, corporate dinners, awards ceremonies, and private parties. It’s particularly popular for corporate events where clients want a prestigious Edinburgh address and a space that makes a statement. Wedding receptions here tend to be on the more glamorous end of the scale. It’s not a subtle venue, and that’s entirely the point. In fact, we’ve loved every event we’ve done here. See our Edinburgh wedding DJ page and corporate events page.

Practical Information for The Dome Events

The Dome is right on George Street in Edinburgh city centre. Public transport links are excellent, and it’s within walking distance of most Edinburgh hotels. Supplier parking is the main consideration, since George Street has restrictions — so plan ahead and speak to the events team about options if you’re booking a DJ at The Dome. The in-house catering and bar team are slick and easy to work alongside.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is The Dome located in Edinburgh?

The Dome is right on George Street in Edinburgh city centre, within walking distance of most Edinburgh hotels and with excellent public transport links.

What events can I book a DJ for at The Dome?

We cover weddings, corporate dinners, awards ceremonies, and private parties at The Dome. It’s especially popular for corporate events and glamorous wedding receptions.

Is the acoustics tricky for a DJ setup under the dome?

The domed ceiling creates acoustic challenges, since sound can become muddy if not managed carefully. We’ve worked out what does and doesn’t work here over several events, so it’s something we manage as a matter of course.

Is there parking for suppliers at The Dome?

George Street has parking restrictions, so it’s worth speaking to the events team in advance about supplier access.

Thinking of Booking The Dome?

If you’re planning a wedding or corporate event at The Dome and looking for a DJ at The Dome who already knows the venue, we’d love to hear from you. We know the room, we know how to make it sound great, and we’ll match the occasion.

As DJ at Cameron House, we get to work at one of those venues where the setting does a lot of the work for you. It’s a baronial mansion directly on the shore of Loch Lomond, surrounded by the Trossachs hills, and one of the most photographed backdrops in Scotland — so when you’re setting up inside, you’re very aware that the event needs to match what’s outside the windows. It’s a five-star resort in every sense, and the weddings and corporate events we’ve been part of here have consistently been among the most spectacular we’ve done.
