DJ at Crieff Hydro, Perthshire — Weddings and Events
Crieff Hydro is one of Scotland’s most distinctive venues — a sprawling Victorian resort hotel set on 900 acres of Perthshire hillside that manages to be simultaneously grand and completely unpretentious. It’s been operating since 1868 and today it’s Scotland’s biggest family resort, with everything from a spa and activity centre to conference facilities and a ballroom. It’s also a genuinely brilliant wedding and events venue.

Setting Up at Crieff Hydro
Setup at Crieff Hydro is straightforward — the venue is well-equipped for events and the team are experienced at managing suppliers. The main ballroom is the primary event space and has a good stage area and solid power infrastructure. Load-in is easy with good vehicle access. The Crieff team are friendly and organised — you’ll be well looked after.
The Space — What You Need to Know
The ballroom at Crieff Hydro is a well-proportioned space that works well for DJ setups. The acoustics are decent — it’s not a difficult room to get good sound in, which isn’t always the case with ballrooms of this age. The room fills well and the dancefloor is generously sized. For larger events, the venue has additional spaces that can be used for entertainment or background music.

Practical Information for Crieff Hydro Events
Crieff Hydro is about 17 miles west of Perth and an hour from Edinburgh. The resort has its own car park and supplier access is easy. The events team are organised and communicative — you’ll know exactly what you need to know well in advance.
