Wedding DJ in Scotland — Premier Disco
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and the entertainment you choose sets the tone for everything that follows. At Premier Disco, we’ve been providing professional wedding DJ services across Scotland for over 25 years — from intimate receptions in the Scottish Borders to landmark celebrations at some of Edinburgh and Glasgow’s finest venues.
We understand that no two weddings are alike. Whether you’re planning a traditional Scottish ceilidh, a sleek modern reception, or a fully tailored all-day wedding experience, we shape everything around you — your music, your timeline, your guests. You’ll work directly with James from your very first enquiry right through to the last dance of the night.
What’s Included in Our Wedding DJ Service
Every wedding booking includes professional-grade sound and lighting equipment, a fully experienced DJ, and as many pre-event consultations as you need so that every detail is exactly right. We cover every part of your day — from background music during the wedding breakfast and ceremony music, to your first dance, to the full evening reception. We offer dedicated wedding consultations to plan your music and timeline in advance, so there are no surprises on the day.
Looking for something extra special? We can add a ceilidh set, silent disco, karaoke, or even a live saxophonist to make your evening truly unforgettable. Our Silver Package offers a premium setup with enhanced lighting and equipment for couples who want the full experience.

Wedding DJ FAQs
We recommend booking as early as possible — ideally 12 to 18 months before your wedding date. Popular summer Saturdays in particular can book up very quickly. That said, we do sometimes have availability at shorter notice, so it’s always worth getting in touch even if your date is closer.
Yes — we can cover every musical moment of your day, including background music during the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, ceremony music if required, and the full evening reception. We’ll plan every part of the day with you in advance.
Absolutely — and we actively encourage it. We use an online music planning system where you can select your must-play tracks, set a do-not-play list, and even share a request link with guests before the event. The evening is built around you, not a pre-set playlist.
Yes. We carry full public liability insurance and all our equipment is regularly PAT tested. Most venues require both before confirming a booking, and we can supply documentation on request.
Yes — we’re happy to make key announcements during the evening, including calling guests in for the first dance, cake cutting, and buffet. For a more formal MC role covering the whole day, get in touch and we can discuss what’s needed.
We’re based near Edinburgh and cover all of Central Scotland and beyond — including Glasgow, Perth, Fife, the Lothians, Stirling, the Scottish Borders, and further afield. If you’re unsure whether we cover your venue, just ask.
Yes — all three are popular add-ons. A ceilidh set is a great way to start the evening and get everyone on the floor together, while a silent disco works brilliantly as a late-night extension when venues have a sound curfew. Karaoke can be incorporated as a standalone segment or as part of a longer evening.
Pricing depends on the package, duration, location, and any add-ons. Get in touch with your date and venue details for a no-obligation quote. We’re happy to discuss what’s included and tailor a package to your budget.
