From booking to our actual

From booking to our actual wedding, James offered such a great service, with emails counting down the months to our wedding and providing helpful lists of what we should have booked/looked into. He also provides a brilliant music portal so guests can request songs and the bride and groom can decide if they should get played or not. He also has an extensive music collection which was great because we wanted a rave section at the end of the night and he had all the songs we were looking for. He was great on the night of the wedding and the dance floor was always full, I honestly can’t recommend him enough!

James at Premier Disco did such an incredible job at our wedding this past June. He made sure our special requests were played and did a wonderful job of gauging the room, playing music that had everyone out on the dance floor all night long. It made our evening that much more special.

We also rented lawn games (badminton, Jenga, croquet, quoits and boules) through James, and they were the perfect addition to our weekend. There was rarely a moment that the games weren’t being used, at least until the music started and people were out on the dance floor instead!

We used Premier Disco for our wedding in Kelso 10th March. As we are not from around the area we were expecting it to be difficult to organise our entertainment. But thankfully we didn’t need to worry thanks to the online tools and details provided by the Premier disco team.
We just logged on and provided our favourite songs, and they did the rest. Everything was included in the package, with no hidden extras.

On the day set up was on time, we were not !! But it was no problem and they just went with it no fuss, no rushing or panic.

Perfect team, perfect entertainment for our laid back wedding everyone had a fab time, the bride was always on the dance floor even the dogs joined us. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!!!

You guys were amazing and really gave a fantastic first introduction to what a Ceilidh is all about to the many people from all over Europe who were at the wedding. We also loved the Disco that struck just the right tone to get pretty much everyone up on the dancefloor at some point.

What's in a Charity Fun Night?

A Charity Fun Night is a full evening's entertainment built around several different activities. In other words, rather than one format running all night, your guests get a real mix — and as a result, energy stays high from start to finish. Here's what's included:

  • 4 horse races — the same format as our popular charity race nights, with betting, commentary and prize payouts using our electronic tote system
  • 3 rounds of SpeedQuiz — our smartphone-based quiz where every guest plays on their own phone in real time, with live leaderboards on screen
  • Live games — choose from Spin the Wheel, Play Your Cards Right, Chase the Ace, Open the Box, Lucky Ball Grab, Music Bingo and more
  • Professional DJ — music throughout the evening to fill the gaps and finish the night on a high
  • Experienced hosting by James — keeping the whole evening moving, building atmosphere and making sure every activity runs smoothly

In addition, we can work in your own ideas — a raffle, a heads and tails game, a prize draw or anything else that suits your crowd.

Why a Charity Fun Night Raises More

The problem with running the same fundraiser year after year is that attendance drops and spending per person falls. Guests who've been to several race nights already know what to expect and therefore become less likely to spend big on the night. A Charity Fun Night solves this in two ways.

First, the variety keeps guests engaged for longer. When the quiz is happening, the people who aren't big racing fans are leaning in. When the games start, the tables that didn't win anything in the races get another shot. As a result, more guests stay involved throughout the whole evening rather than drifting to the bar or heading home early.

Recent Event: Macmerry Bowling Club — 10 May 2026

On Saturday 10 May 2026, James ran a Charity Fun Night at Macmerry Bowling Club in East Lothian — one of those evenings where everything clicks from the first race to the last song. The programme included Music Bingo, three rounds of SpeedQuiz, four horse races and a full DJ set to close the night.
