This Archerfield House wedding reception, held for Kirsten and Greg Lorenz in East Lothian, was one to remember. The couple flew over from New Orleans with 40 friends and family, absolutely ready to party. From the moment the first dance ended, the energy in the room was electric.
Premier Disco has performed at weddings across East Lothian for many years. Archerfield House is one of the finest venues in the county, and this booking showed exactly why. The setting was stunning, the couple were brilliant, and the crowd were there for a good time. Together, it all combined to make the night one to remember.
The First Dance
The evening opened with two first dances back to back. Ray LaMontagne’s You Are The Best Thing played for Kirsten and Greg. Lee Ann Womack’s I Hope You Dance followed, for the parents. Between them, both songs set exactly the right tone: warm, heartfelt, and with just enough energy to get the room moving.
Live Saxophone at Archerfield
Right after the first dances came something a little special. Saxophonist Ben Noir played two live sets, bringing tremendous energy and showmanship to the floor. Weaving a live musician into the evening alongside the DJ works brilliantly for a crowd ready to celebrate. This was a perfect example of it. In combination, the two kept the momentum high throughout the night.
A Night of Eclectic Music
One of the joys of working with a crowd from across the world is the music requests you get. Kirsten and Greg’s guests kept things wonderfully unpredictable — a very eclectic mix that spanned genres and eras. It’s exactly the kind of challenge that makes a night like this genuinely fun to DJ. Thankfully, we had almost every request in the library, so the floor stayed full from first dance to last song.
