Setting Up at Gleneagles Hotel
Load-in at Gleneagles is smooth — the events team are experienced and well-drilled, and they’ll have a clear plan for where you’re going and when. Setup time is generous, which matters in a room of this scale. The Ballroom is the main event space for large weddings and corporate dinners, and it’s a well-equipped room with good infrastructure. Come early, take your time, and do a thorough sound check — the room rewards the effort.
The Space — What You Need to Know
The Ballroom seats up to 260 guests and is one of the better-proportioned event spaces in Scotland for DJ work — high ceilings without the reverb problems you get in some grand rooms, and a natural dancefloor area that fills well once the evening gets going. Corporate events often use the smaller breakout spaces too. Acoustically, Gleneagles is friendly — you won’t be fighting the room.

We’ve covered weddings, corporate dinners, awards nights, and private parties at Gleneagles. The exclusively resident wedding format — where your guests stay at the hotel — creates a different energy to a venue where people are heading home at midnight. Gleneagles is about an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Parking for suppliers is straightforward — speak to the events coordinator when you arrive. Sound restrictions are sensible but not unreasonable for a venue of this type. The Gleneagles events team are professional and communicative — any questions about your event will be answered clearly and in good time.
