How You’ll Play Quizzy Fortunes
Quizzy Fortunes is Premier Disco’s own take on the classic TV format — live, fast-paced, and built entirely around what your crowd thinks. You’re split into two teams, and everyone gets their moment at the buzzer. There’s no trivia to swot up on beforehand: the only thing that wins you points is guessing what everyone else already said. Before the event, we survey your guests (or your staff, if it’s a corporate event) on a set of questions — some general knowledge, some entirely personal to your organisation — and rank every answer by how many people gave it.

Round One: Head-to-Head
One player from each team steps up to the buzzer. Our host reads out a survey question, and it’s a straight race — first to buzz gets to answer. Give the most popular answer on the board and you win control of that question for your whole team; get it wrong, and the other player gets a free shot. If neither lands the top answer, the next pair from each team steps forward and the question resets.
Taking Control
Once your team wins control, we come to each of your teammates in turn and ask for another answer from the board. Every correct answer reveals its value — worth points equal to the number of people who gave it in the survey. Your team can rack up three wrong or missing answers before losing control entirely — and if that happens, the other team gets one shot to steal everything on the board by naming any answer you haven’t already found.
Double Money
After a couple of rounds, the game moves into a Double Money round. It plays exactly the same way — buzz in, win control, work through your team, watch out for the steal — except every answer on the board is now worth twice as much. This is usually where the game is won or lost.
The Fast Money Final
Two players from the winning team go head to head with the clock. The first plays alone, firing off answers to five rapid-fire questions with no time to think. The second faces the same five questions with a little more time, but can’t repeat anything their teammate already said. Every point from both rounds is added together, and hitting the target score wins the game for the team.
Perfect for Corporate Events
Quizzy Fortunes is one of our most popular formats for corporate team building — it gets departments mixing, requires no specialist knowledge, and works brilliantly with a company-specific survey (favourite office ritual, guesses about company history, most-used excuse for a late arrival). It can run as a standalone event or as a segment within a longer evening alongside a Gameshow Night, disco, or SpeedQuiz. We run Quizzy Fortunes Scotland-wide — Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Fife, the Lothians, Stirling, the Scottish Borders and beyond — and can deliver it virtually via Zoom for remote teams.
Quizzy Fortunes FAQs
How many people can play?
Two teams of five play at a time, but the format works well for much larger groups — teams can be rotated between rounds, or several games run as heats, so everyone in the room gets a turn.
Can the questions be tailored to our company?
Yes — we survey your own staff or guests in advance and build the board entirely from their answers, which is what makes the game so personal and such a strong team building exercise.
How long does it take to play?
As a standalone game it typically runs 45–60 minutes; as part of a longer Gameshow Night it can be shortened or extended to fit your schedule.
