Premier Disco has been established since 1979 and has built one of the most trusted entertainment reputations in Scotland. We handle more enquiries than one DJ can take on alone — and rather than turn good bookings away, we work with a small, carefully selected network of professional mobile DJs who share our standards and our values.
If you are an experienced mobile DJ based in Scotland with your own professional-grade equipment, a track record of delivering excellent events, and the kind of work ethic that takes every booking seriously regardless of size — we would like to hear from you.
What We Are Looking For
This is not a casual arrangement. The DJs we work with represent Premier Disco at every event they play — which means the standards are non-negotiable. Here is what we expect from anyone we partner with:
- Professional-grade equipment — your own high-quality sound system, lighting rig and DJ setup. We do not place DJs without equipment into bookings
- Full public liability insurance — a minimum of £5 million PLI as required by the majority of Scottish venues
- PAT tested equipment — all equipment must be regularly PAT tested and certified
- Proven experience — a demonstrable track record at weddings, corporate events or private parties. We want to know which venues you have worked in and what kinds of events you have delivered
- Professionalism in every respect — on time, properly presented, reliable communication, and a genuine commitment to making every event brilliant
- Musical versatility — the ability to read a crowd and adapt, not just play a playlist. We want DJs who know their music deeply across multiple genres and eras
- A positive attitude — this matters as much as any technical skill. Clients and venues remember how you made them feel as much as how the music sounded

- Support and communication — we brief every partner DJ thoroughly before each booking and are available throughout for any questions or issues
Types of Events We Cover
Premier Disco covers a wide range of events across Scotland — and our partner DJs need to be comfortable across some of the events in this range:
- Weddings — evening receptions, full-day coverage, ceilidh and DJ combinations
- Corporate events — gala dinners, awards nights, Christmas parties, post-conference celebrations
- Private parties — birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, family celebrations
- Charity and fundraising events — race nights, fun nights, quiz nights with DJ entertainment
Coverage Areas
We are particularly interested in hearing from DJs based in or regularly covering areas where demand is strong and our own availability is limited. This is generally Central Scotland, and mostly around Edinburgh. That said, we welcome enquiries from professional DJs anywhere in Scotland.
