We used Premier Disco for our wedding in Kelso 10th March. As we are not from around the area we were expecting it to be difficult to organise our entertainment. But thankfully we didn’t need to worry thanks to the online tools and details provided by the Premier disco team.
We just logged on and provided our favourite songs, and they did the rest. Everything was included in the package, with no hidden extras.
On the day set up was on time, we were not !! But it was no problem and they just went with it no fuss, no rushing or panic.
Perfect team, perfect entertainment for our laid back wedding everyone had a fab time, the bride was always on the dance floor even the dogs joined us. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!!!
Silent Disco at RAF Leuchars
I would like to pass on my thanks to James Veal for another superb entertaining silent disco and disco at our Battle of Britain event. I am happy to be quoted in a testimonial as James is always prompt, reliable and extremely friendly and courteous. He has twice now ensured a room full of smiling faces with the silent disco in particular and there are always groans when the end of the night comes around such is his value. This time round having 3 channels thanks to wifi access and the colour corresponding headsets went down a storm. I would gladly get him back for every disco or event.

I can honestly say that the service received from Premier Disco was over and above my expectations. From the first contact to the emails with the countdown to our big day to the online playlist that we could pick and choose our songs from was fantastic!

I organised a charity night
I organised a charity night for MYELOMA UK.
James Veal was the ultimate professional, set up in plenty of time for the event starting. Agreed to wear a t-shirt and ran my Irish Bingo as well as the Quiz which every one enjoyed
He is very good with his one liners & banter with the players a great night was enjoyed by all in which James gave up his fee only charging for his expense of running the Quiz. I can’t recommend James any better than perfect 5 out of 5!

My whole experience with Premier
My whole experience with Premier Disco has been excellent from start to finish. I really enjoyed having the ability to go online and pick our own music recommendations for the event. Everything went so smoothly at our wedding, and there were hardly any people still in their seats – the music was that good.

James was just brilliant! We got married at our own barn venue last
Saturday with James DJ’ing alongside the Ceilidh Experience.
From start to finish we found the whole process slick and easy. We got to choose our own music and make other suggestions via the online tool, what a great touch! James even queried some of our choices in order to make sure he had it just perfect for us on the day/night! Communication was great throughout and on the night it went so smoothly.

You guys were amazing and really gave a fantastic first introduction to what a Ceilidh is all about to the many people from all over Europe who were at the wedding. We also loved the Disco that struck just the right tone to get pretty much everyone up on the dancefloor at some point.
Thanks also for adapting the set, given the massive delay with the serving of the meal. Was a shame to cut things a bit short – but was just one of those of things.
(My Mum’s also fine now after her slip, just embarrassed and will never live that down…)

From booking to our actual
From booking to our actual wedding, James offered such a great service, with emails counting down the months to our wedding and providing helpful lists of what we should have booked/looked into. He also provides a brilliant music portal so guests can request songs and the bride and groom can decide if they should get played or not. He also has an extensive music collection which was great because we wanted a rave section at the end of the night and he had all the songs we were looking for. He was great on the night of the wedding and the dance floor was always full, I honestly can’t recommend him enough, especially when I was looking into other DJs before I found premier disco and they were quoting £500-£600 and I ended up paying half of that!

We had a fantastic charity
We had a fantastic charity race night. Colin arrived very promptly and was all set up in lots of time. He took time (and patience) in explaining how it all worked and we were all impressed with how easy it was. He was also very accommodating to changes we made through the evening with regards pacing the races etc. We made over £1700 and would definitely do this again. Everyone who came commented on what a great night it was.

Very pleased with the service for our wedding. Impressed by the online service for requesting music (and the encouragement to use this). Very flexible prior to the event about phone meetings to make arrangements. On the day all our requests were played including ceilidh calling and the progression of music through the night reflected the audience ready and willing to dance well. Very professional service and definately contributed to the success of the evening aspect of our wedding. No complaints, a pleasure to work with.

We had a disco for 16 kids with disabilities and their helpers. Our DJ for the night was Bill, who contacted me beforehand to ask about preferred playlists etc. which helped get the party started! He was punctual, polite, friendly, very professional and really made our night a success! We hope to run the event again next year, so will definitely be in touch. James at Premier Disco did such an incredible job at our wedding this past June. He made sure our special requests were played and did a wonderful job of gauging the room, playing music that had everyone out on the dance floor all night long. It made our evening that much more special.
We also rented lawn games (badminton, Jenga, croquet, quoits and boules) through James, and they were the perfect addition to our weekend. There was rarely a moment that the games weren’t being used, at least until the music started and people were out on the dance floor instead!
30th Birthday Party
Great service from the very first email enquiry right through to the music on the night of the party. James always responded to any emails and questions I had very quickly and kept me up to date with everything. The DJ arrived early and was set up with plenty of time to spare before the party started. The requests we made prior to the party were played and the dance floor usually packed with people enjoying themselves. We and all the guests had a brilliant night and I would recommend James to family or friends looking for a DJ.

From start to finish every song was perfectly timed, our evening flowed brilliantly from the guests arriving through dinner and into the dance. The dance floor was always packed and the comments we have had from our guests were all commending the dj on the music choice! Would recommend to anyone who wants the dance floor full! 40th Birthday Party
I hired Premier Discos to play at my husbands 40th birthday party which was held at Preston Lodge Rugby Club. James kept in touch with me in the lead up to the party to ensure that all the details were correct and to ensure that it was the best night possible for all. James was able to gauge what the partygoers wanted to dance to and also selected music for all ages and made the night a huge success.

Hillfield Swifts 2006's held a Race Night fundraiser on Saturday 5th March & we booked James at Premier Discos again after several successful events over the last few years. James leaves no stone unturned & cannot do enough for us to ensure we have a successful & enjoyable night. We followed some of the good advice Jamea provided to ensure we maximised our income from the event by selling tickets, horses & jockeys prior to the event. On the night itself, James ensured the tote table & the auction maximised our profits on the night. I found the Website very useful in being able to search for our Playlist songs and there was good feedback on any songs which were not available. Addition from Premier Disco Admin... The bride and groom asked for a number of Nepali songs most of which we managed to source but there were 2 which we could not find. On the night of the reception we received many more requests for Nepali songs and I am happy to say that by using our online purchasing sources we managed to find and play the vast majority of these.

Could not speak highly enough of James throughout the planning of the event. Every question was answered quickly and accurately. On the night itself, Colin the DJ was fantastic. Hi, Thank you for a fantastic evening- you were so patient with us starting so late! We loved the opportunity to invite guest requests which led to loads of excitement and anticipation before the big day. The dancefloor was packed all night- the bride certainly didn't leave! Disco, you were great at feeling the mood/vibe of the crowd and altered the music to get even more people dancing. You tracked down remixes we requested and then chucked new tracks into the mix. You clearly work well with The Norman McKay Ceilidh Experience. We're still getting comments about how much fun people had! And what a way to end the evening- a group sing along to Caledonia was perfect seeing as we've so recently had to move and miss Scotland loads. It was so wonderfully perfect. Thank you! Can't say that enough. Thoroughly recommended!

Hi, The Ceilidh Experience played at our wedding at the end of 2013 and they were outstanding!! Simply put they are top-class musicians with great energy and stage presence. It was really important to us to have a band that would cater to keen Scottish country dancers, eager but shy people who needed a bit of encouragement/guidance and also to entertain the wallflowers... Norman’s band absolutely nailed it. They have great character and I honestly believe they’re one of the best ceilidh bands in the UK (I’ve been going to ceilidhs for 10+ years and never seen a better band). Disco James was top-notch too and the way they set up and interacted with each other and our friends and family made the whole evening a party... all of our friends said they had a ball and it was one of the best receptions they’d ever been to. I’d highly recommend the Ceilidh Experience to anyone!!

Hi James, Thanks for email and opportunity to comment on last Sundays (08/09/13) “Horseshoe day at the races” event. Everyone who attended that I’ve seen since has commented on what an enjoyable day it was. It also turned out to be a very successful day as although we had 70 tickets on sale of which between 50 -60 attended, we actually managed to raise £913 in total to put towards our 3 pub local charities fund which now sits @ £1,823 for the year. I think raffling a horse in advance of the final “auction” race was a real attraction as we sold 1.5 books of raffle tickets @ £1 per strip. I think with your guidance we also maximized what we could do with the auction race and generate £160 out of 50-60 attending (mostly families) in what was only really 7 horses (as 1 was owned by raffle winner) was as much we could’ve done in the circumstances. I’ve been back at work since Sunday so not seen many of the pub regulars but have already been asked on a couple of occasions when next race night will be, and although a bit cautious to have it too regularly, would hope it would be at least an annual event.
